So you want to watch some gay horror!

We're reaching the end of Pride Month 2: Electric Spookaloo, and the release of It: Chapter Two has a lot of people hungry for more queer content in their scary movies. Unfortunately, the “mainstream” horror landscape is still catching up to the fact that LGBT audiences are 1) very into spooky content and 2) very loyal, so big-budget releases are still a pretty heterocentric landscape. Never fear, though - indie horror’s got your back. Every horror movie on this list is here only because there are LGBT main characters, and that is a promise from me to you.
